Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony will be under the covered awning area between the Reeves Auditorium and James & Delight Allen Education Center. Our Reception will take place in the Reeves Auditorium.
Are they wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the North Carolina Botanical Garden is wheelchair accessible! They have accessible parking at the entrance of the venue, fully-accessible restrooms, and wheelchair ramps. You can view the venue’s accessible enterences and wheelchair-accessible areas on our map.
Are there restrooms nearby the venue?
There are restrooms both in the James & Delight Allen Education center building, adjacent to our ceremony space, and restrooms in the Reeves Auditorium where are reception will be.
Is there available parking?
Yes, we have available parking spaces at the North Carolina Botanical Gardens to be used by guests.

The closest airport to our venue is Raleigh-Durham International Airport. RDU is approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
Dress Code
What is the dress code?
Our dress code is cocktail attire. We ask that you wear a suit and tie. Alternatively, an evening gown or a midi- or knee-length cocktail dress would be appropriate.
Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?
Kindly choose wedding attire in any springtime color, with floral patterns encouraged! Please do not wear white.
What’s the weather and climate like?
North Carolina in springtime brings mildly warm weather. Our wedding will be during the evening, when average temperatures can range between the 70s and 60s.
Order of Events
What time should I arrive at the wedding ceremony?
We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space and find a seat. As such, we ask that guests arrive around 5:00 PM.
What time will our wedding reception end?
Our reception will end at 11 PM.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
A 60-minute cocktail hour will take place on the front lawn between the ceremony and reception where you can enjoy drinks, small bites and the gardens.
